What is concept (pro) dog training?
Imagine sitting kids in a candy store and expecting them to do algebra after one explanation!
First, take the distraction away, then teach basic maths, make it fun. With time and patience, they will get there and improve their problem-solving skills. With our puppy training we focus on the skills required whatever life may throw at them.
Remember your teachers, those who taught you in a fair and calm manner, remember who treated you badly or didn’t enjoy their job. Those emotions are real, just like how you learn in a positive and calm manner so do dogs. Which teacher would you rather be? Here at Scentastic Dogs we offer training that if fun for you, your dog and anyone else that would like to get in on the action.

Do puppies need socialisation?
The good news is most puppies born to a normal sized letter learn all the required understanding between 5 to 8 weeks with their litter mates and this means when they arrive at your home, they already know not to hurt other dogs, what a play bow is and what a yelp means. However, they may not have the skills to put their knowledge into practice for a wider range of dogs or a understanding that just because there’s a dog nearby they don’t necessarily want to play with them or how to do it appropriately.
Included in the 4-week puppy training course is how to seek permission to play with another dog and not to eat food off the floor. Rather than assuming it is their right.
Teaching your puppy the ability to disengage from play if either dog or owns decide it is time to stop.
Teaching your puppy the ability to choose a more appropriate energy level of play / meeting other dogs and people.
Lastly, the best ways social your puppy.

Thomas was excellent.
His puppy training knowledge was very good and he has given us so much information to help with Angel’s training. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

It was a great training today for my puppy pug. Thomas is very professional and knowledgeable. We went through a very practical bits like commands, problems which I am facing with my crazy pug, what to do and what not to. It was fun and my Ines got a really lovely toy. I highly recommend Thomas and attending a training. At the end of the day we all want to love and enjoy our dogs
